Shopify store due-diligence checklist
What to check before you buy a Shopify store, so the numbers on the listing are the numbers you get.

- Revenue and payouts: ask for a read-only view of Shopify analytics and the payout history for at least the last twelve months.
- Profit: list every cost — products, apps, ads, fees — and check the declared profit survives them.
- Traffic: find out where visitors come from. A store that depends on one ad account or one social channel carries that risk to you.
- Suppliers: get the supplier names and confirm they will keep working with a new owner.
- The domain and brand: check the domain's age and link profile, and whether the brand name is free to use.
- Refunds and chargebacks: ask for the refund rate and any disputes — they come with the store.
